There once was a man who was told that he was special, that he was evolved. This man had had a very boring life and a mother who told him he needed to do more with it, and he might have had a few mental problems as well. But he didn't show anything special, and so the scientist that had brought this good news to him gave up on him entirely. The man, angry and desperate, figured out a way he could be special. He could be a monster. So he was, and he was a very good monster, he thought.
Gabriel.
The man fought hard and did many horrible things. But then someone caught him that told him he couldn't help himself. It was the nature of his specialness that made him a monster, not his own choice. Suddenly, the man had new parents, and a new family, and they wanted to help. And even though the new family turned out to be a lie, the man thought on it, and decided to give being good a try. He'd always wanted to be a superhero, after all, he just didn't think it was a possibility. So he tries to help those that he used to kill and terrorize, or so he thinks. But can he really be anything but a monster now?
