Repeated attempts
Aug. 23rd, 2009 06:46 pmI don't suppose I'd qualify by now, but does anyone here sell shopowner's insurance yet?
Regardless, my timepiece restoration shop is undergoing immediate remodeling- it probably won't be open again for at least a few weeks. Horology classes are also cancelled until I have a proper place to hold them again. I'll still be doing repairs out of my apartment, so please contact me by phone if you need any work done. I'll be individually contacting any customers who are waiting regarding theirmelted hunks of metal watches.
I'm sort of wishing I threw some teeth at those creatures yesterday, now.
But let's talk about something other than business. What is the nature of hope for you? What does it mean? When is it gone? Is it ever gone for good?
[ooc: Uhhh yeah, this happened to the shop. A very large percentage of the interior is destroyed. ]

Date: 2009-08-24 05:55 pm (UTC)I would agree with that. So I suppose the best situation is the one where you have enough power- in one form or another- to not need hope in the first place? After all, certainty in your success is much better than hope.

Date: 2009-08-24 06:57 pm (UTC)Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean hope will continue to be ineffective. You've changed a great deal recently, you might find something new.
After all, I used to think it was ineffective for me, too.
