makes_you_tick[ He probably shouldn't be at his shop right now, but he is- trying to fix a display case that had been busted for several weeks. The glass had been carefully removed, and he's now in the process of hammering it together. So far, so good. The physicality of the work takes his mind away from what it wants to rest on. He can't rely on Anthony all the time, after all.
He drops the hammer. Instinctively, he makes a motion with his hand instead of trying to shift out of the way- his lack of telekinesis means the hammer hits his foot. He winces, but says nothing, just frowns a little more as he reaches down to pick up the tool. He sets it on the nearby workbench, deciding to move on.
Not long after and he's measuring out a long piece of rubber to fit on the bottom of the cabinet. He walks to the back desk and pulls out a small utility knife. He has a hard time cutting the strip with it, however, and has to really dig in. This results in pulling too far and too fast- and swiping a long cut into his left hand, in between his thumb and his index finger. Now he curses, low and indistinct to the recording.
He sets the knife down and holds his hand up in front of his face. He watches with an odd, thoughtful expression as the blood begins to drip down his arm. ]
Guess it's time to stop.

You've made the last few weeks not only tolerable, but good. It's why I started thinking about this.

But maybe I should stop for now. It's a lot to think about, and I- I know I'm worse than usual. And I owe you food.

That you do. And we both know I take my food very seriously. And I think I missed breakfast...
[he moves towards the exit and pulls Gabriel with him]

All right, then. We'll get french fries. And maybe some more food to build that around, if you missed breakfast. I swear, I'm hungry all the time, I don't know how you can forget...
[Things are right again, even with that pull in the back of his mind.]
