OOC Contact/Plotting/Concrit

Hello! This is a post in case anyone would like to:

-Contact me for any reason.

-Suggest some plot-stuff with Sylar, either in the "We should have Sylar and my character do this and this" or the "I want to play with Sylar but I don't know how to get our characters to talk" or especially the "I'd like to have my character kick Sylar around a little" capacity.

-Ask me what the hell I'm doing with Sylar. He IS from the third season (and updated up to the fourth). I won't be offended if people are curious/worried.

-Tell me I'm doing it wrong. Again, I won't mind- but try to phrase it constructively, please?

So, I haven't seen Heroes in the past 2 seasons or so, but does this incarnation of Sylar still have a thing for brains/powers? If so, Nagarov is 100% interested in plotting with him, as a fellow brain-picker type. (Not that I'm not interested in plotting anyway. :) )

This incarnation of Sylar does indeed have a thing for powers! He still craves them, as well as knowledge of any kind, but he is being a lot more open about it, and is supposedly trying to curb it in an attempt to 'rehabilitate'. Pretty much, he found out that he still has family, and wants validation from them. So he's trying to convince everyone he's wronged that he's changed. It's also allowing him to go a little slower in observing the City itself, rather than the first time he was here when he would attack just about anything that moved. And generally get his ass kicked. >_>;

But it's been a long while since he's stolen anyone's ability, and it's hard to be good for so long, you know? So feel free to plot with/poke at him. Did you have anything particular in mind? :3

Hmm. I don't have a huge idea immediately, but it seems that potentially Sylar and Nagarov could get along. And by get along, I mean Nagarov would totally like him as a tool, and who knows what Sylar wants. He's basically an alien collective who wants to assimilate all humankind in order to obtain their knowledge (and bodies, for fodder). They have amusingly similar interests, in a way.

Well, Sylar's pretty open about the whole killing people for their brains thing. They can talk, see if it comes up. Or always feel free to hit up his older posts. :3

Nagarov is pretty subtle about it, so it'd take something interesting to make it come up. Hmm.

Hey, Amy, I just saw your updating point and I'm a little confused as to why you chose that point in time, since canon has already proved that that's not Sylar, and that his consciousness was still inside of Matt Parkman?

His consciousness is still in Matt, but his body is not. I chose to pull the body in but not the consciousness. I realize this means that it's not exactly Sylar then, but neither would it be if I pulled Matt Parkman with Head!Sylar in. I've been kind of back and forth as to how I wanted to try and play with this season, myself.

Anyway, I'm not planning on playing him like this for very long, probably a week tops, but it'll allow for some interaction with Peter and various bits of confusion otherwise. Then I'll bump him up to the latest episode and he can be whole again.

All right. o/ I was a little confused, because--yeah, canon amnesia plot, but it isn't really Sylar, so. xD

Yeah, it's very understandable! Like I said, I was unsure what to do with this season's plot, but I did want to acknowledge that it was happening.

I figured it would be more acceptable game-wise to use the same body than to suddenly have someone else's body and fighting between two different personalities inside of it (plus, it'd be more confusing logistically to play out multiple personalities), so I decided to go with this. Maybe I should've run with Matt, but we'll see how this goes.

And Spike would definitely win right now. Sylar can't use his abilities to fight at the moment, more than lightly tripping someone up with his TK. He does have a little bit of hand-to-hand fighting knowledge (which is WAY more than he does in canon), thanks to being taught some fighting skills by Faith....but that's about it. However, he also has regeneration (heals just about anything instantly), so he'd encourage Spike not to go easy on him.

So this is entirely out of the blue but hey, Amy! God knows you probably don't even remember me by now since its been literal years, but hey— it's Sarah! I found a link to some of our old stuff in an old writing collection and I spent the morning in a nostalgia burst (wow, we wrote some damn good stuff! well done, us) and when I saw you had a more recent entry I figured what the hell, I should at least say hi and say thanks for all the amazing stuff you gave me a chance to do, Faith and Sylar remain in my top five things I've ever written.

Anyway, I hope you're doing better especially health-wise, and that you and Dan (...now I feel like I've remembered his name wrong but I figure the literal years part makes that less egregious) are still happy and doing well!

Wow, hi, Sarah! Come on, I totally remember you! This entry was actually made when I brought Sylar into Polychromatic, but I future-dated it so that it'd always be on top. We just went too far into the future. XD BUT I did just recently read through all our stuff, too, coincidentally enough. It was SO good. It's one of those things that I can go back and really enjoy just reading through passively, so yeah- I think we should be pretty proud. I'd put it in a top five too, easily. I just really liked how everything ended up developing.

I've been working on the health stuff, and am doing a LOT right now. I finally found a doctor that knew what to look for, and I've tested positive for celiac, and five other related things. She's got me on a heavy regimen right now, and we're looking to clear everything out in the next couple months or so. So I'm feeling kinda rough at the moment, but it's in the hopes that I will shortly be doing MUCH better. And Dan is doing very well, and you totally got his name right, even after all that time. :) I hope you're doing well, yourself!
